Another thing off the wedding check list yay!
And here's the gorgeous shoes!
I must say, I'm overly thrilled that I don't have to wear them. My fat butt would topple over, for sure! lol
But they will look amazing on my girls!
We're less than 2 months away from the big day. I really wish the money stress would go away because pretty soon there won't be a wedding! lol!
So, did the shoes this morning and now the rest of the day is... a lazy day! yay!

Yup, it's official, he's a fish!
Nolyn, My Almost-4-year-old has turned into a fish!
That's right, he's learning how to swim! Although now he's so confident he scares the poop out of me, I'm so proud of him! Aiden's still a little to chicken to really get into it, but hopefully we'll get some swim lessons this summer and he'll be good!
You can see my little water boys below! Enjoy!

My Miracle Man turned the big 0-5!
I still can't believe Aiden turned 5!
To some kids 5 is no big deal, but Aiden had a rough start.
I adopted Aiden. I was his foster Mother (his 3rd foster mother) and got him at 3 months old. Aiden had a rough start. Aiden was taken away from his biological mother at birth. He and his mother both tested positive for Crystal Meth when he was born. He was actually born on the floor of a garage that was turned into a meth lab. His mother didn't know she was pregnant and thought she had to poop, after going to the bathroom and nothing coming out with bad cramping she came out and told the other people present to call an ambulance, by the time the ambulance had arrived she had already given birth on the floor, so they took her and Aiden to the hospital.
When a child tests positive for drugs they are taken away from their mother immediately. He was put into foster care, and went to two other families in our agency before we got him. By the time he was 6 months old, his mother still hadn't completed the courts requirements to get him back (go to rehab) and her parental rights were terminated. She tried to appeal and the state went to trial with her, which we attended. His bio father even came out of the works for a while and requested paternity and claimed he and his extended family wanted Aiden, but when it came down to it, he never showed up for the trial. Too little too Late, his mom decided to attend rehab a month after her deadline. Finally right before Aiden's first birthday her appeal was denied at trial and we were officially granted permission to adopt him.
His adoption was final right before his 4th birthday.
When we got Aiden, we were told her had all kinds of "problems." They said he was blind, they said he had digestion problems, his head was even flat in back from previous families just having him lay around and never holding him.
Miraculously we took him for all his appointments the week we got him and he did not have ONE SINGLE PROBLEM (besides the head shape, but that has fixed itself over time just from not being on it so much after we got him). His vision has become perfect!
Of course since then throughout the almost 5 years he's been in my care, other things have come up related to the drug use during pregnancy... He has dental issues, he has very weak teeth. Him and my bio son have always had the exact same dental care, I brush their teeth, but no matter what, he just has one problem after another. And now we're facing some behavior issues, mainly being he's constantly hyper and never stops moving, but that's typical of half the boys his age I know. lol
No matter what, he's my son and I love him with all my heart. I still can't believe he's been through so much in his short life, but I'm so glad I was able to give him a better life and hopefully he'll never remember the bad stuff early on.
I do have a GIGANTIC stack of state records on his mother, on what happened, police reports, court transcripts. All that he will be able to see when he's old enough to understand and WANTS to know what happened.
I'll leave you with some video's from his 5th birthday party on June 6th. He has the best reactions to his presents on the first video!

Bad case of the Mondays...
I'm still baffled how I don't work, and my kids aren't in school, and yet I STILL get a case of the Mondays, EVERY monday.
Ugh... My plan was to go to the gym every day during the week, but today's Jareds day off from work so of course I'd rather stay home with him. Of course my kidlets wanted to go so they could go play with the kids but oh well... tomorrow! :D
Today I woke up and my hair was a mess (thanks to yesterdays pool day), my back hurt, and I couldn't stop yawning.
I think I'm gonna call it another pool day and relax.
After all the emotional drama from being depressed about wedding money and stuff... ugh.. just not in the mood.
I did sell a few things on ebay over the weekend so I need to get those shipped today so that paypal can release the money for them sooner than later.
I didn't take pictures yesterday (I'm SUCH a failure sometimes), but I did take flip videos so I'll try and get those up today. Nolyn is so cute when he's swimming!
Moving on...
Today WILL be a good day! :D Hope everyone else has a good one like me!

I officially declare today....
A POOL DAY!
Maybe I'll try and bust out my camera and get some new shots of the boys. Every few months I try to do a photo shoot and get some new pictures of them to hang on the wall, but now that I'm jobless I'd like to build my skills a little more and start using my camera on a daily basis.
I'm so glad we have a pool. Even though that too needs to be updated cause pink tile isn't really "in" these days. And during the summer our electric bill goes through the roof. But, our Air Conditioner is broken and our Landlord (a.k.a. my dad, has yet to fix it) so I guess if we just don't use the Air conditioner and hang out in the pool it'll be less expensive anyway.
I'm a little nervous cause SDG&E is installing "smart meters" in everyones houses in San Diego now and on the news a lot of peoples bills have gone up. Luckily most of the people have issues with their gas portion of the bill being higher and we are rural so we have propane so hopefully we won't have an issue. It might help us cause some months we use like nothing and our bill will be insane because they estimate it instead of reading our meter. With the "smart" meter they won't have to come out to read them anymore. I won't how many meter reader people will lose jobs with no more meter reading???
So anyway, yay for sunny san diego days! All week it was cloudy so it'll be nice to jump in the pool again! And I semi-taught Nolyn how to swim so he's so excited to get in the water again. Aiden on the other hand got too excited with his life jacket off when Nolyn was swimming and his head went under and now he's so scared to even try. time like that when I wish they would LISTEN to my rules... like "ONLY ONE PERSON OFF THE STAIRS WITHOUT A LIFEJACKET!" cause it's hard to rescue two boys at once!

Pictures of my munchkins yesterday
Here's my youngest. That's his mad face. Don't mind the hair in his face, they have mohawks and they hadn't gotten put up for the day yet.
Grrrr!
And there's that boy smile I love!
And my oldest adopted son, Aiden! My little ball of energy.
And his mom-really-I'm-trying-to-eat-my-bananna face

5 year old love.
Aiden was running around naked since he took his bath and Jared came home and told him he needed to put some pants on so he ran off to his room and came out with pants that were short...
Aiden: mom, I put my pants on.
Me: your highwaters.
Aiden: it's ok mom, we have plenty of water.
I <3 my 5 year old!
